Heading Home

Heading home, driving down my street, I notice how the trees are reflecting in the puddles from yesterday's rain. I got home, grabbed my camera and head back up the street to catch those gorgeous reflections.

Then as I was heading back to the house again, I came upon this...
What a gorgeous tree with a lovely little sunspot.

Chip & Salsa

Parent Teacher Conferences tonight. We have heard the same comments for her entire school career, "she's wonderful in every way but she is so quiet". That is who she is folks, she might not be saying it but she is definitely thinking it! So after standing and waiting for our turn to meet the teachers, we stopped to get a bite to eat. The chips and salsa were very yummy.

Last Bit of Goodness

I stepped out for a 15 minute break today and found this little patch of flowers (well, more like weeds ). This little patch was abuzz with bees getting that last bit of goodness.
Mmm Mmm good!

The Green Man?

It is a dark night where the leaves are rustling in the wind, somehow scaring the dog. This tree does not belong to us but it hangs mostly in our yard. Right now it is bearing these beautiful yellow leaves. The light from the back porch shines enough light onto the tree to make it look spooky and gorgeous all at once. I see a face in the leaves (actually I see three). Jim suggested it was the Green Man, but we are in the wrong season for him, unless...maybe this is what happens to him in the fall.

*A Green Man is a sculpture, drawing or other representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves.
Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth or "renaissance", representing the cycle of growth each spring.

Stitching a Squirrel!

Well it appears that my talent at photostitching is somewhat impaired. I tried to create the image of this squirrel running across the wire, but it just wasn't meant to be. I tried to stitch it in Zoom-browser, I tried it in Picasa, and I even tried it in Photo-shop. Either my cropping size was wrong or something else, but it would not stitch itself together. So fine! I will do this instead!  I don't care! (actually I do but I give up!) I'm not all together disappointed though, I do find it to be a bit "interesting".

Finally Elizabeth

We had the opportunity to get out and take Elizabeth's Senior Pictures.

My beautiful girl!

She has always had the most beautiful blue eyes.
