Jim and I headed outside around 9 tonight armed with the tripod and a flashlight. He held the flashlight in various spots while I took the picture. This one is from the side, aiming slightly on top of the tiger lily petals. I like the way the light highlights the stamens.
This one is where he held the flashlight from underneath. I like the way the light shines through the petals but would like to see more definition of the stamens. Unfortunately the mosquitoes thought it was dinner time so this experiment was cut short. I am eager to give it another try. When we do, I'll make sure to get the bug spray first!
